Meshlynn Fishing CottageMeshlynn Fishing CottageDescriptionMeshlynn Fishing Cottage offers self catering accommodation for up to seven people. Meshlynn Farm is 40 Km's from Mooi River, with tar road all the way. Travelling time from Johannesburg is about 4hrs 30 mins, and about 2hrs from Durban. The cottage is spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers are arranged and make the lounge look warm and inviting. The kitchen is fully equipped (including microwave oven), and in the lounge, a colour TV and log fire place. Wood is provided free. There is no limit on the amount of wood you use for the braai/bbq or fire in the lounge. Linen and blankets are provided but not bath towels. There are two bathrooms. One has a shower and toilet, the other a bath and toilet.
Outside there are braai/bbq facilities with a lovely view of the Kamberg mountain and surrounding farm lands. Eland and Mountain Reedbuck are a common sight in the late afternoon/early evening.
There are three large, well stocked dams available for you to fish. Fishing is restricted to residents of the cottage, no day fishermen allowed. Catch and release is practised on Meshlynn. The only exception is for friends of people staying in the cottage. There is still a charge per rod. Guests may use float tubes on the dams.
